Schedule a free consultation

The Law Offices of Christopher D. Sposato is pleased to offer prospective clients an initial thirty minute consultation to discuss their legal needs and objectives.  There is no charge for these consultations.

During the consultation, whether over the telephone or in person, we will ask you about your legal matter and and suggest how we might be able to assist you, plan a course of action, and outline our charges for fees and expenses.  The consultation will enable you to understand your legal rights, consider our recommendations, and decide whether and how to proceed.  If you agree to hire us to provide legal services and advice, we will prepare an Engagement Agreement stating our terms and conditions of service and request a pre-payment deposit of a portion of our fees, and expected expenses for courier and court fees and governmental filing fees, for exsample.

Fees

The initial consultation is free; at the consultation, the lawyer will explain how fees will be addressed if the client-attorney decide to move forward

Facts and Circumstances

We will want to learn more about the surrounding facts and circumstances. A good lawyer will spend time listening and asking questions. For business transactions, the lawyer will ask questions pertaining to the partners, members, shareholders, assets, holdings, relevant contracts, and equity positions, thereby working to understand the “lay of the land” for your transaction or agreement.

Consultation Discussion and Questions

After we have the “lay of the land,” we can provide insight as to applicable law, suggestions, alternatives, and appropriate platforms for handling your legal matter. We will likely answer any questions about procedures, timelines, transactions, drafting, provisions, distributions, and other related issues. In addition, sometimes the lawyer will provide some insight as to the challenges and or strengths of your case, or issues related to your legal matter.
